Today's the Day: Give for Good Louisville!

Today is Give for Good Louisville, a day when we celebrate and support the nonprofit organizations that help make this community truly special. We're humbly asking you to join us in supporting BBB’s Consumer Education Fund.

Here are a few ways the Consumer Education Fund supports our community year-round:

• BBB Military Line: a program for active-duty military members, veterans, and their families that brings education and support to a population that is known to be targeted by scams and unethical business practices
• BBB Lifeline Grant: a funding opportunity designed exclusively for BBB Charity Seal Holders that will provide grants to strengthen local nonprofits.
• BBB Charity Review Program: To help donors choose wisely, your BBB reviews and develops reports on charities and nonprofits. Organizations that meet all of BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability earn the distinction of being a BBB Accredited Charity. There is no charge to the charity for BBB to develop and post a report. These reports are available to the public for free at give.org.
• Scholarships: The Consumer Education Fund supports the BBB Trust Scholarship, the BBB Military Student Integrity Scholarship, and the BBB Tools of Trust trade scholarship.
• Consumer Education: BBB conducts community presentations for senior citizen groups, community and civic organizations, and school groups of all ages. BBB encourages these groups to take a proactive approach to prevent scams, identity theft, and fraud before they occur.

These are just a few highlights of what the Consumer Education Fund provides to our community, and with your support we will continue to grow, educate, and serve our community.
